Feel the sand, feel the heat, feel the glass

Last week, a group of consultants from Europe visited us. There are 7 of them in the company which is specialised in giving cultivation advice on how to grow vegetables. They are doing business worldwide including Europe, North America and also Australia.

When visiting raw sheet glass line, they are very interested in how the raw sheet glass is made and how the pattern and haze is formed. Our colleagues showed them the whole process from the tank of mixed raw materials, then through belt to furnace to roller, and till to the cooling and cutting.

They said there is no such sand in the Netherlands after felt the sand by hand, yes Planti has it’s own sand to make sure the quality of glass.

Temperature is still above 1000 ℃ when raw sheet glass panes come out from furnace, see the flame and feel the heat!
